Kss from Seville, Spain \n\nTRIBUTE TO THE CIGARRERAS SEVILLANAS IN THE PARADE OF SUSANA CHAPARRO\n\nMorning sun at the Aljarafe, in Seville. MUNDO FLAMENCA receives its portion of light and heat. The parade of Susana is the first but not starts its scheduled time. No matter. I loose between scenes, and even greeting helping put flowers in the hair. I am in my sauce. Clothing going up and down, smell of varnish and faces up recently. Bodies that are filled with fliers and shawls, heads covered with scarves and peinetas. 26 degrees in the shade and a radiant public waiting on both sides of the walkway, and the press nervous in front. It seems that was the first time for everybody. It is the dawn of spring, is already known… alters blood.\n\nThe collection of Susana this year is dedicated to the memory of those great women, full of strength and little fear, which were cigarreras sevillanas. My heart was touched. My great-aunt worked as a cigarrera when she was alived, a long time ago. My thoughts are flying so I remember what I never lived. Here at the University of Seville, at San Fernando street, almost a century before, my great-aunt is sitting there. Colours of blood, mourning and peace bathing the rooms where I would attend my classes and workshops in the futur. How many rounds gives life, but the desire to live is the same, so on the impetus, generation after generation. So are Susana´s women family. Susana dedicated the parade to her mother, a women fighter and causes where they exist. "This is the first time that I will not attend to the manifestation of the Day of Working Women, but I had to be with my little girl”, Susana's mother told me. Her other daughter, came from America to parade for her sister, - how much the blood weighs-.\n\nSusana also inherited from her family´s women a fighter soul. She´ll arrive really far for sure because she works hard, because she deserves… As a bullfighter would say in the Maestranza in Seville an afternoon of bulls either: -this post, filled with all my best wishes- it GOES BY YOU, MASTER.[;)]
