sioc:content	Antigua isla fortificada, St-Malo (Normandía, Francia) se funda en el S.XII y su nombre procede del monje galés Maclou, que desembarcó por allí en el S.VI para difundir el mensaje cristiano y se convirtió en obispo de Alet, antigua cuna de la ciudad actual. En 1308 fueron comuna y en 1395 se sometieron al rey Carlos VI de Francia, quien les concedió la exención del pago de derechos portuarios.\n \n Durante los siglos XVI a XIX su puerto fue muy importante -gracias a las hazañas de sus marineros -como Jacques Cartier, René Duguay-Trouin o Robert Surcouf, los tres grandes navegantes, conquistadores y medio piratas- que armaron buques para las Indias, China, África y las Américas.\n\n Pasear por su antigua ciudad -Intramuros- es una maravilla. Y aún mejor es llegar a ella por su paseo que cuando sube la marea tiene peligro de “ducha”.\n Su playa está agasajada de troncos de madera, con el Fort National al fondo al que tienes acceso cuando la marea está baja.\n Imprescindible es entrar en una de sus numerosas tiendecitas donde hay mil y un motivo marineros, además de degustar unos mejillones -pequeños y sabrosos- acompañados de sidra del lugar. Una mezcla paranoica pero -¡increible!- deliciosa al paladar. Otras “estampas” de esta ciudad es su Puerto -junto a la muralla de Intramuros \n La catedral gótica de St-Vicent\n \n O, simplemente, dejarte llevar por la experiencia acuática de sus olas golpeando los muros de la ciudad y asustando al viandante -prohibido llevar manoletinas de Blanco bajo peligro de empape absoluto y a la basura-. \n Les Roches Sculptés \n En los alrededores de St-Malo hay un lugar insólito, poblado de figuras humanas y animales esculpidas en las rocas por la mano de un hombre, el abad Adolphe Fouré (1839-1910) quien a sus 55 años sufrió un ataque cerebral que lo dejó sordo y mudo.\n A partir de entonces, el hombre se retiró a Rothéneuf, e inspirado por las leyendas del lugar -repletas de corsarios, piratas y nobles de temperamento sanguinario- se dedica a esculpir en la piedra, más de 300 personajes de grotesco look. El resultado fue un jardín de piedras de una superficie de 500 m2 que dominan el mar. \n Pues bien, desde el pasado 24 -nosotros estuvimos allí el 5 de julio- el extraño lugar está cerrado al público porque un incendio destruyó el restaurante Bénétin -justo antes de la bajada a las rocas- lo que supuso el cierre de la atracción turística al público. \n Como véis en la imagen -rescatada de Internet- el camino está cubierto de tableros calcinados y vidrios rotos. Un espectáculo de desolación, que ha inutilizado el camino que conduce a las rocas talladas, imposible ahora de recorrer por el visitante. It is indispensable to enter one of its numerous shops where there are thousand of motive sailors, beside tasting a few mussels - small and tasty - accompanied of local cider. The result was a stones´garden of a 500 m2 surface that dominate the sea. \nWell then, from the past July 24 - we were there on July 5 - the strange place is closed to the public because a fire destroyed the restaurant Bénétin – placed just before the descent to the rocks - what supposed the closing of the tourist attraction to the public.\nAs you see in the picture - rescued of Internet - the way is covered of calcined boards and broken glasses. A desolation spectacle, which has rendered useless the way that leads to the carved rocks, impossible now to cross for the visitor. It´s a pity, since the place in summer receives up to 800 daily visits.

A partir de entonces, el hombre se retiró a Rothéneuf, e inspirado por las leyendas del lugar -repletas de corsarios, piratas y nobles de temperamento sanguinario- se dedica a esculpir en la piedra, más de 300 personajes de grotesco look. El resultado fue un jardín de piedras de una superficie de 500 m2 que dominan el mar.

Pues bien, desde el pasado 24 -nosotros estuvimos allí el 5 de julio- el extraño lugar está cerrado al público porque un incendio destruyó el restaurante Bénétin -justo antes de la bajada a las rocas- lo que supuso el cierre de la atracción turística al público.
