Dejamos Dubrovnik y cogimos la autopista de interior hacia Zadar. Bueno, el trozo de autopista que está construida -que aquí aún se notan los efectos de la guerra y la reconstrucción continúa...\n We left Dubrovnik and caught the highway inside to Zadar. Craso error! Los 35º de aquí son un verdadero suplicio. Por favor, no vengáis a Croacia en verano! Este calor húmedo, donde el aire no llega, es inhumano. Y yo que me quejo del verano sevillano...\n From south to north, willing to meet with a cooler climate. Big mistake! 35 degrees here are a real pain. Please do not come to Croatia in summer! Ya camino de Zadar paramos en Sibenik para visitar su Catedral de Santiago que es Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Aunque las obras iniciales duraron casi un siglo, hace ya cinco, tras el bombardeo que sufrió en 1995, que tuvieron que reconstruirla. \n As I was telling you. Way to Zadar we stopped at Sibenik to visit the Santiago´s cathedral -a World Heritage Site. Although initial works took almost a century, five years ago, after the bombing it suffered in 1995, they had to rebuild it.\n \n \n El edificio tiene varias "delicateses" que la hacen única, como que su crucero descanse sobre una estructura cuadrada en cuyos tres de sus lados se abre un arco rematado por una estatua. O que los sillares se tallaran de modo que encajan sin necesidad de cemento.\n The building has several "delicacies" that make it unique, like that their cruise rests on a square structure whose three sides opens an arch topped by a statue. Or that the stones were cut so they fit without need of cement.\n \n \n En su exterior, la cornisa tiene 72 caras humanas y la puerta lateral, toma su nombre de los dos leones sobre los que se apoyan las figuras de Adán y Eva (como ocurre en todas las puertas de catedrales croatas).\n \n \n Outside, the cornice has 72 human faces and the side door, takes its name from the two lions that rely on the figures of Adam and Eve (as in all the cathedrals doors in Croatia).\n \n \n Pero sus calles bien merecen un paseo, así que regresamos al día siguiente por la noche.
